The China Postgraduate IC Innovation Competition is under the guidance of the Department of Degree Administration and Postgraduate Education, Ministry of Education. It is hosted by the Chinese Society for Degree and Postgraduate Education, and co-hosted by the China Integrated Circuit Innovation Alliance.

Co-organizers include the China Semiconductor Industry Association, the Chinese Institute of Electronics, the Industry-Education Integration Alliance of Demonstrative Microelectronics Colleges, the Integrated Circuit Professional Committee of Tsinghua Alumni Association, the National IC Design Automation Technology Innovation Center, and the Shanghai IC Technology and Industry Promotion Center.

The Tsinghua Cross-Strait Research Institute serves as the Secretariat.

As one of the China Postgraduate Innovation & Practice Series Competitions, the 9th edition is undertaken by Southern University of Science and Technology and titled by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd.
